🚀 Getting Started

Getting started with Frontline Aide is easy and stress-free. Simply call us at (206) 773-5666 or fill out our online request form, and one of our care coordinators will reach out within 24 hours. We’ll schedule a free in-home consultation to assess your needs, discuss your preferences, and develop a personalized care plan. From there, we’ll match you with a qualified caregiver and can typically begin services within a few days of the initial consultation.

During the free in-home consultation, a care coordinator visits your home to meet with you and your family. We assess the level of care needed, discuss daily routines, review medical conditions and safety concerns, and learn about personal preferences for activities and meals. This meeting typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes and allows us to create a comprehensive, customized care plan. There is absolutely no obligation, and the consultation gives you a chance to ask questions and get to know our team.

In most cases, we can begin services within 48 to 72 hours after the initial consultation and care plan approval. For urgent situations, we offer expedited placement and can often have a caregiver in your home within 24 hours. Our extensive network of trained caregivers across King and Pierce Counties allows us to respond quickly to your needs. We always prioritize finding the right caregiver match, even when working with tight timelines.

No, you do not need a doctor’s referral to start non-medical home care services with Frontline Aide. You or a family member can contact us directly to begin the process. However, if you plan to use long-term care insurance or Medicaid to help cover costs, a physician’s assessment or order may be required by your insurance provider. Our care coordinators can help guide you through any insurance or funding requirements during the consultation.

On the first day, your assigned caregiver will arrive at the scheduled time and introduce themselves. They will review the care plan with you, walk through daily routines, and ensure they understand all preferences and needs. Our care coordinator will also follow up with a phone call or visit to make sure everything is going smoothly and that you are comfortable with your caregiver. We believe the first day sets the tone for a great caregiving relationship, so we make sure every detail is handled with care.

Services & Care

Frontline Aide provides seven categories of non-medical in-home care, each designed to address a different set of daily needs and life situations. Our services include: Personal Care Support (hands-on assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, and medication reminders), Companion Care (social engagement, conversation, safety supervision, and routine support), Homemaking Support (light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and home organization), Respite Care (temporary relief for family caregivers), Recovery at Home Support (non-medical assistance for individuals transitioning home after illness, surgery, or hospitalization), Disability and Independent Living Support (ongoing daily support for adults living with disabilities), and Memory and Cognitive Support (structured, non-medical care for individuals experiencing memory loss or cognitive decline). Every care plan is personalized, and services can be combined in any combination to meet your specific needs.

Memory and Cognitive Support is a dedicated service category at Frontline Aide for individuals experiencing memory loss, confusion, or cognitive decline due to Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or other conditions. Our caregivers provide structured daily routines, safety supervision, calm redirection, companionship, and assistance with daily living tasks — all within the familiar environment of the client’s own home. This service is non-medical in nature and is designed to complement any clinical care the individual may already receive. The focus is on maintaining abilities, reducing anxiety, and providing reassurance and stability for both the individual and their family. Caregivers in this category receive specialized training in communication techniques and engagement approaches that are specifically effective for individuals with cognitive challenges.

Frontline Aide serves a broad range of clients — not only seniors. While many of our clients are older adults who need daily living support, we also provide care for adults recovering from surgery or hospitalization, individuals living with physical or developmental disabilities, and families who need dependable respite support. Our caregivers are trained to work with clients across different ages, conditions, and care requirements, so whether you need short-term recovery assistance, long-term daily support, or occasional respite coverage, we can help. Every care plan is tailored to the individual, not tied to a specific age group.

Absolutely. Frontline Aide offers both 24-hour care and live-in care options for clients who need round-the-clock support. With 24-hour care, we typically schedule multiple caregivers in rotating shifts to ensure consistent, attentive coverage throughout the day and night. Live-in care involves a single caregiver residing in the home, which can provide a greater sense of continuity and companionship. These options are available across any of our service categories — whether the need is personal care, memory support, recovery assistance, or companionship. Our care coordinators will help you determine which option best fits your situation, budget, and living arrangement.

Yes, Respite Care is one of our seven core service categories. We provide flexible, temporary relief for family caregivers who need a dependable break. Whether you need coverage for a few hours, a weekend, or several weeks, we can arrange qualified caregivers to step in and follow the established care plan so your loved one experiences consistent, familiar support. Respite care is available with no long-term commitment, and you can use it on a regular schedule or on an as-needed basis. Many families find that periodic respite care helps prevent caregiver burnout and strengthens family relationships. This service supports not only the person receiving care but the entire family unit.

Recovery at Home Support is designed for individuals transitioning home after illness, surgery, injury, or hospitalization. This service includes post-discharge support, mobility and safety assistance, meal preparation tailored to dietary needs, medication reminders, reliable transportation to follow-up appointments, and help re-establishing daily routines during the recovery period. Our caregivers coordinate closely with families to ensure a smooth transition from clinical care to home life. This is one of the areas where Frontline Aide provides particularly valuable support, because the period immediately after returning home can be vulnerable and having consistent, non-medical assistance at home makes a meaningful difference in comfort, confidence, and recovery outcomes.

Yes, our care plans are designed to be flexible and adapt to changing needs. We conduct regular reassessments to evaluate whether the current level of care is still appropriate, and we can increase or decrease hours, add new service categories, or adjust caregiver assignments at any time. Whether the need grows from companion care to personal care, a recovery period requires more intensive support, or a family’s respite needs change, our care coordinators work closely with you to ensure the plan evolves accordingly. There are no penalties or extra fees for modifying your care schedule.

🤝 Caregivers & Staff

Every Frontline Aide caregiver undergoes a rigorous, multi-step screening process before joining our team. This includes a comprehensive criminal background check at both state and federal levels, verification of certifications and work history, reference checks, and a thorough in-person interview. We also conduct competency assessments and require current CPR and first aid certifications. Only candidates who pass every stage of our vetting process are brought on board, ensuring the highest standards of safety and reliability for your family.

All Frontline Aide caregivers complete our comprehensive onboarding program, which covers essential caregiving skills, safety protocols, infection control, and emergency response procedures. In addition, caregivers receive specialized training in areas such as memory and cognitive support techniques, fall prevention, safe mobility assistance, and nutrition. We require ongoing continuing education and provide regular skills workshops to keep our team sharp and up to date with best practices. Our investment in training ensures that every caregiver delivers confident, competent, and compassionate care across all seven of our service categories.

Our caregiver matching process is thorough and personalized. During the consultation, we learn about your loved one’s personality, interests, care requirements, cultural preferences, and scheduling needs. Our care coordinators then review our team of qualified caregivers and identify the best match based on skills, experience, temperament, and geographic proximity. We consider compatibility factors such as shared interests, language preferences, and communication styles. If the first match isn’t perfect, we will work with you to find the ideal caregiver fit at no additional cost.

Absolutely. We understand that a strong caregiver-client relationship is essential to quality care, and we want you to feel completely comfortable. If for any reason your assigned caregiver is not the right fit, simply contact your care coordinator and we will arrange a replacement promptly. There is no charge or penalty for requesting a caregiver change. We take your feedback seriously and use it to refine our matching process, ensuring we find someone who is the perfect fit for your family’s needs.
